Yes, the mat board I use is the same that would be used for matting a picture in a frame. Don't be afraid to try this out. It's just mat board.

- Hello and welcome to my blog. I am a miniaturist from the middle of America looking to share what I have learned over the years. I have a husband, Al, he's an architectural woodworker. I just made your heat registers and worked with mat board for the first time. I loved that it was easy to cut and you could sand it like wood! :D I will definitely use it more often.
ReplyDeleteOK Well I have my matboard purchased and all of my supplies gathered. Except for the paints and the waxes. I don't have that type of wax, I wonder if I can use something else? Anyway I will be starting momentarily. Now I hope I haven't bitten off more than I can chew by starting my first ever matboard project with the kitchen cabinets. Maybe I should have started with somehting a bit simpler? Wish me luck! If I make any kind of progress at all I'll let you know! LOL!
