FIRST SOFA DONE!

Nancy Enge, my helper that cleans up the patterns for the blog made the Lisa sofa from my kit.  She sent me a picture and I had to share it with all of you.  She used a micro check from a thrift store shirt and the feet are a deep purple.  It's so modern!  I had never thought of it as modern, it takes another eye to see things.

I do have two kits available on CDHM if anyone wants to try this out.

  10. This is marvelous! The fabric and color on the feet do give it a definite modern flair! I love that she's used a thrift store shirt too! Upcycling in miniature.... very cool! Almost as cool as the sofa itself!!!!!

  11. This looks great and Nancy has done a Wonderful job with the upholstery. Checks are not an easy pattern to work with because of having to line everything up and the pulling and stretching which often distorts the lines. So I Applaud her patience as well as her skills in getting this fabric to look as Fantastic as it does! :D
