More Furniture

The top picture is of a cute chair for a cabin or vacation setting. The fabric is cotton with a checked design and ducks, the ducks have blue, green and tan on them. You could trim out your room in any of these colors. The chair also has an accent pillow included and is trimmed with piping from the fabric. The skirt is pleated with piping above. The back cushion is "buttoned" to add to the casual feel of the chair. The measurements for the chair are 3 1/8" tall, 3 1/2 wide and 2 1/2" deep. $15.00 plus $5.00 shipping in the U.S.A.

Here's the 1 inch scale bronze contemporary pillow back sofa trimmed with twisted embroidery floss that matches the chair in the previous posting. Included with the sofa are four accent pillows trimmed with the same floss. This fabric has a slight nubby texture and is slightly shiny. The color is called bronze, but I call it a greenish gold. If you want a sample of the fabric please contact me and I will be glad to mail you a piece. Measurements are: 3 1/8" tall, 6 3/4" wide and 3" deep. $25.00 plus $5.00 for shipping in the U.S.A.

Bronze Contemporary Wing Chair

This is a 1 inch scale contemporary wing chair. This matches a sofa that I have on CDHM.org. The fabric has a slight texture and I think it is a greenish gold. The chair is trimmed in twisted embroidery floss to match the fabric and includes an accent pillow that matches the ones on the sofa. The legs are wooden and are stained a medium color. I cut these legs myself and dowel them into the bottom of the chair. The measurements are: 3 1/2" tall, 2 1/2" wide and 3" deep including the back slope of chair. $15.00 plus $5.00 shipping. More Followers!

Hi to you all. I have a question, are you on this site because you came from CDHM.org and you are looking for more furniture; or did you find me because you want to make miniatures?
I would like to know because I am considering stopping the making miniatures thing. I do like teaching or as my husband likes to say, "Telling people what to do, how to do and when to do."

I have had my first comment and it was so nice! Thank you "Lady of the House". I know the kind of books you are talking about. I have a great used book store by me and believe it or not they do get in books on miniatures. I have seen the '70's book with the sponge! I left it on the shelf. I have quite a few books that are currently in print if you want to know the titles I will be glad to write them in the blog for you. The best source for me has been the magazines, though. The old "Nutshell News" was the greatest for making minis. So many good ideas and of course Joanne Swanson! Let me know what you would like to do and I would be glad to help you figure it out. Kris

New Chair

This is the wing chair that matches the Queen Anne style sofa below. It is covered in cotton fabric of brown with peach and blue flowers with green leaves, trimmed in same fabric piping around seat cushion. It has wooden legs, the front two are cabriole legs. I cut them myself, they are stained in a medium color and are doweled into the bottom of the chair. The measurements are 4 1/2" tall, 3" from arm to arm and 2 3/4" deep, including the back slope of chair.
$20.00, I use the U.S. Postal Service and charge $5.00 per piece to ship.(U.S.A.)

I have more furniture at the CDHM.org site, under furniture, Kris Compas

Furniture for Sale, Too

Hi, I've moved some more of my furniture over from my CDHM.org site.

These are a set of slipper chairs upholstered in a Mary E. cotton fabric. They are trimmed in red twisted embroidery floss. Measurements are 3 1/2" tall, base 1 7/8" x 1 7/8" and 2 1/2" deep including slope of back. $15.00 for the pair.

This is a pretty Queen Anne style sofa with skirt. It is covered in a brown with peach and blue flowers cotton fabric. I have included 6 pillows because I didn't know which color to go with, blue or peach! The sofa is trimmed in piping that matches the fabric. The measurements are 6 1/4" wide, 2 3/8" deep and 3 3/8" high. $25.00

All you need is Santa and you are set for a Christmas scene. the Fabric is red cotton with tiny candy canes all over. This was a small piece of fabric I have had for a long time and it was enough to make one chair. The sack of goodies comes with the chair. The chair measures 4 3/8" high, 3" wide and 2 3/4" deep, including the slant of the back. I make my own wooden legs, and they are doweled into the bottom of the chair. The price of the chair and sack is $20.00.

Shipping for these is $5.00 per piece or set, (like the set of 2 slipper chairs). I use the U.S. Postal Service.(U.S.A.) Please contact me at camceiling@frontiernet.net
