Hi Norma, What kind of cotton are you using? I was using muslin, I thought of batiste or lawn, something like handkerchief weight. The muslin was just too thick and heavy after the painting. It would be great if you didn't have to find silk. My husband has a bunch of old handkerchiefs, I might try this out, thanks for passing your experiments on! Kris
